Lesson 1: XAUUSD / GC Sell Orders on the Ask
Key Strategy Concepts
Setup Context
- Gold at the 1875 round number level
- Equal highs with imbalance at that level
- 1.5 hours after NFP news — huge spike to upside, then reversal
Delta Signal
- Delta shifted from positive to deep red/negative
- Numbers: -800, -400 negative delta
- Brief positive number, but right side showed ALL negative delta
- High volume while price was tangled in the high area — bearish sign
Contract Thresholds (Gold-Specific)
- 7 over 29 (almost 30 contracts) on the ask side — first signal
- 20 over 70 contracts on the ask side — the institutional hotspot (found inside a bullish candle)
- 1,090 contracts traded on the tops total
- 234 contracts around the key edge (commitment of traders in the middle)
- 140 contracts at the top
- 29 contracts on the last test of the ask side
Gold Contract Number Ranges
- Normal institutional activity: 50 to 100 to 150 contracts
- Gold is a Safe Haven — big wheels pump money in and out
- More advanced trader instrument due to high volume
Entry Rules
- Identify round number / equal highs / supply area
- Count contracts traded on footprint at that edge
- Wait for negative delta confirmation (deep red)
- Highlight the level
- Wait for ONE LAST TEST of that level
- When last test shows no pullback — enter the trade
- Combine with negative delta for confirmation
Trade Management
- Enter after last test into the "time territory"
- Price pumps to downside
- Combined with negative delta + huge imbalance = no way back for price
- Take partial profits at the range — "trading is probability"
- Likely reaches lows again
Key Formula
Round number/equal highs + huge contract imbalance on ask + negative delta + last test = SELL entry
